Developed in 2023 as demonstration tool for Wanhua Chemical, this injection mold showcases the pinnacle of IMC (In-Mould-Coating) with PUR (Polyurethane). The product features a continuous S-shaped curvilinear geometry with smooth transitions and zero sharp angles, presenting a significant challenge for uniform coating distribution. The piano black surface is not merely high-gloss; it incorporates metallic luster sparkles suspended within the PUR layer, creating a sophisticated 3D visual depth. By injecting the PUR coating directly into the cavity after the substrate is formed, the mold achieves a "self-healing" soft-touch finish with exceptional scratch and chemical resistance. Our engineering team optimized the flow dynamics to ensure the metallic flakes remain evenly distributed across the arched surfaces without clustering, delivering a premium, paint-free aesthetic that highlights the material's structural fluidity and tactile elegance.
