Introduction
This injection mold is specifically developed for automotive dashboard trim panel overlay frames, where the primary engineering challenge involves managing the high-precision fitment of a covering product. To meet the strict dimensional requirements, our tooling design incorporates advanced shrinkage compensation algorithms for the PC+ABS substrate, ensuring the frame remains perfectly flat and stable over long production runs. A critical focus of this project is the mitigation of appearance wires (weld lines) on the visible surfaces. By optimizing gate positioning and implementing RHCM (Rapid Heat Cycle Molding), we control the flow-front convergence to achieve a flawless finish.
